Lately

At the beginning of all this, I guess I didn't realize how hard it was going to be to start back to work.  I thought for sure I would be ready for some adult interaction and getting back into my new store for the first time...I was wrong....I was so wrong.  While, I am loving my new store and working with patients again, I miss my little princess everyday all day.  I cried the whole way to work the first 2 days.  It was awful!  I have to say that it is getting a little easier, but I totally think I could do the stay-at-home mom thing.  We are very lucky in that we have a wonderful babysitter who loves babies and says that Madelyn is such a great baby!  If we didn't have that, I am pretty sure Jesse would have to find another job so I could quit mine, lol!  But, all in all, we are very blessed and this transition has been very smooth and I could not ask for a better work environment.

So, what is little Miss Priss doing these days???

She is growing, growing!!!  Her 2 month check-up (yes, I'm a little behind on blogging, because she is almost 3 months) but she was 10 lbs (30th percentile) and 22 1/2" (67th percentile)...surprise, surprise!  Long and lean like her parents :)

She is smiling.

Talking,

And she laughed at me for the first time the other night!  I wish I had gotten it on video, but I just wasn't that quick :/  Hopefully soon!

She is sleeping through the night...she is actually so good that I have gotten used to about 8 hours of sleep and if she doesn't sleep that long, I find myself getting frustrated with her for waking up, lol!  Very very rarely does she get up in the middle of the night, and if she does, I know she must be pretty upset or hungry.  We are so very blessed!

She loves baths!  Her "happy place" is on our bed where we can stand over her and talk to her to make her laugh.  It is quite possibly the sweetest sound I think I have ever heard.

She likes TV...especially football Saturdays and Sundays with Daddy :)

She loves to stand up in our laps and talk to us while we make crazy faces!

She likes to be held like a football and carried around the house...and if you carry her like a baby, she will fuss and cry until you turn her around for the football hold!  (This is quite a change from the up and over the shoulder previous stance, ha!)

She is eating usually every 3 to 4 hours during the day, and will eat for the last time around 9 or 9:30pm and sleep til about 7 am most nights.  Mornings are her happy time and she talks up a storm while I am getting ready.

She still hates her carseat, but once we get in the car, she usually just talks to herself until she falls asleep...if we are in the car long enough.

She slept in her big girl bed in her OWN room last night!  And she did way better than mommy did.  Mommy watched the monitor for about 2 hours before falling asleep.  I almost felt like I was neglecting her by putting her in the other room...crazy, I know!

Well, that is all I can think of right now.  I will try my hardest to blog more and keep you updated on what is going on.  But for now, everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving and safe travels!!

Love,
Andrea
