Wow! I can't believe it has actually been a whole year! And one of the best years of my life at that :) I have been very blessed this past year with an amazing husband and a beautiful daughter. I could not ask for much more than that!
Last night, Jesse's parents came in town to watch Madelyn while Jesse and I went to dinner at our favorite restaurant, Kirby's, and stayed at a hotel in The Woodlands. We were pretty nervous about leaving her, but we knew she was in good hands. Dinner was amazing as usual, and we still didn't sleep...as usual, lol. I guess once you get in your routine of waking up at 2 am and 4:30ish am, you never really get out of it! Hopefully this too will pass.
Anyways, here are a few pictures from our evening out!

And of course, on your 1 year anniversary, you have to eat the top layer of your wedding cake that has been frozen for an entire year and looks oh so nasty. But, we did it! And it wasn't all that bad. Not good enough to take a second bite, but we didn't throw up, so I say....SUCCESS!!
We cut off the outside frozen parts to get down to the center, hoping that would make it better
You know Jesse made me try it first, lol! I was pretty grossed out.
And I'm pretty sure Jesse has his eyes closed, but he is oh so happy!
And I can't write a post anymore without leaving you with at least one picture of our perfect little nugget! (She is the reason we were home by 8am this morning, ha!)

Here's to another year of wedded bliss with my best friend and the love of my life! I could not ask for a better husband and father to our beautiful daughter. Jesse, you have brought so much joy to our lives, and I can't wait to spend the next 75 years with you!!! We love you more than you will ever know!!
