New Years and Lacy!

Well, New Year's Eve didn't turn out at all how I expected it to. But, I guess it shouldn't be all about partying at the bars at this age?? Anyways, we came home early and were able to see the ball drop on TV.

On New Year's Day, I finally got Jesse to eat one black eyed pea...not a spoonful, ONE. Haha! But, at least I was able to get him to do that. Making them from the bag was quite an experience. Every other year, I have either bought them in a can or just eaten Mom's, but I was on my own this year. I know I made them all wrong, and had to add water like 5 times, but they eventually got done, and Lacy and I had a bowl together. Jesse and I also wrote all of our 2009 resolutions on a dry-erase board and hung to where we have to see it everyday as a reminder of where we want to be by the end of the year. Lacy was here for almost a week, and we had a great time. I scrapbooked while she watched, because she was frustrated that she didn't have all of her stuff...lol. We also babysat Hannah for a day and did some serious shopping. I don't think she can shop without me, so we have to get 6 months of shopping into 2 or 3 days! Thanks for braving the 7 hour drive 3 high in the Buck with us Lace just to hang out with me! Love ya!
